Aaron Matthew Fussell passed away tragically in a car accident on his 34th birthday, June 24, 2025. He was born on June 24, 1991, in Kerrville, TX, to Derrill Fussell and Phyllis Dowe.
The family will be greeting friends and relatives for a visitation at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel, 201 E. 3rd St., from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Funeral services will be at 11 am, followed by burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Aaron grew up in Kerrville, TX. He graduated from Lampasas High School in 2010. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army Reserves and proudly served for six years as a Light Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic. Through the course of his career, Aaron worked as a diesel mechanic for Caterpillar until he found his home at Firefly Aerospace in Briggs, TX, assembling rocket components. The years he spent with the amazing Firefly Team proved to be his greatest career accomplishment.
Aaron was a very proud and involved father of 2 sons, James, age 12, and Clark, age 11.
Aaron was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jinks and Coralee Fussell, and maternal grandparents, Robert and June Dowe.
He is survived by his sons, James and Clark Fussell (Jenee Jeffreys, former wife and mother of his children); mother, Phyllis Dowe; father, Derrill Fussell (wife Linda); sisters, Tanya Cox (husband Bubba), Lindsey Fussell, Rebekah Hernandez (husband Joshua); numerous aunts and uncles; 7 nieces and nephews, Tyler Cox, Kristen Fierova, Kinsley Cox, Zechariah Hernandez, Caleb Hernandez, Sam Hernandez and Anna Grace Hernandez.
