Mr. Aaron Roderick Horne, age 65, has entered into eternal rest. Graveside services will be 5:00 PM, Friday, August 11, 2023 at Thompson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery by Dr. Ronnie Grizzle. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery and other times at the home of his brother, Gettys & Cynthia Horne.
Mr. Horne was born October 3, 1957 in Chesterfield County, SC a son of the late William Gettys Horne, Sr. and Virginia Davidson Horne. He was a 1975 graduate of Chesterfield High School and a retired employee of Caro-Knit – Ti-Caro of Jefferson. An humble man who never met a stranger, Aaron was a faithful member of Thompson Creek Baptist Church. He was an avid reader who enjoyed history and watching tv. Above all else, Aaron was a loving son and dedicated caregiver to his parents.
In addition to his parents, Aaron was also preceded in death by his sister, Wendy H. Hatchell; and nephew, William “Will” Gettys Horne, III.
Survivors include his brother, William Gettys (Cynthia) Horne, Jr. of Ruby, SC; brother-in-law, Jamie Hatchell of Florence, SC; aunt, Mary Jo Davidson of Chesterfield, SC; and numerous cousins.
Memorials may be made to Thompson Creek Baptist Church, “Cemetery Fund,” c/o Cam Locklear, 1228 Ed Lowery Road, Chesterfield, SC 29709.
