Mrs. Carolyn Stogner Griggs, age 57, entered into rest on Thursday, October 9, 2025. Graveside services will be 3:00 PM Monday, October 13, 2025 at White Oak Presbyterian Church Cemetery by Rev. Kyle Stogner, Rev. Johnny Cassada, and Rev. William Griggs. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
Mrs. Griggs was born March 20, 1968 in Ruby, SC a daughter of Melba Sue Eddins Stogner and the late William Carson Stogner. She was a 1988 graduate of Central High School and a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Jefferson. Carolyn was a former employee of Mohawk Industries of Bennettsville and INVISTA of Lugoff. She enjoyed working word search puzzles, raising chickens, and fishing. Above all, she had a special place in her heart for children, which resonated throughout her life.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Angelo Griggs of the home; mother, Sue Stogner of Jefferson, SC; sister, Kathy Ann Stogner of Jefferson, SC; step-children, Johnny Griggs of Patrick, SC, Derek Griggs of Elgin, SC, and Joey (Alexa) Griggs of Myrtle Beach, SC; step great-grandchildren, Chandler Griggs, Cameron Griggs, Carson Griggs, Derek “Lil’ D” Griggs, Bentley Griggs, Austin Griggs, Cheyenne Griggs, and Coby Griggs; nephew, Rev. Kyle Anthony Stogner of Jefferson, SC; niece, Kelly Renessa (Tyler) Aslund of Florence, SC and their son, Caleb Joshua Aslund.
In honor of Carolyn's love for children, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital (www.stjude.org).
