Mr. Bruce Hudson McCarty entered into rest on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at the age of 59. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 in the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. McCarty was born on January 29, 1966 in Augusta, GA the son of the late Billy and Dorothy Hudson McCarty. Bruce had a natural talent for working with his hands. A skilled carpenter and expert drywall installer, he took pride in his craft. He found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, Mr. McCarty was preceded in death by his niece, Paulette Froese.
Survivors include his brothers, Mark (Dianne) McCarty of Hartsville, SC, Billy (Becky) McCarty of Casey, SC, Bryan McCarty of Cassatt, SC; nieces and nephews Beth (Phil) Jones, James (Jennifer) McCarty, Danielle Gwint, Brittany McCarty; 8 great-nieces and great-nephews including, Isabella, Lilly, Peyton, Phillip, Mark, and Ezra.
