Abraham (Abe) N. Stein, a longtime resident of Moorestown, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on August 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after a long illness. He was born on August 12, 1947, in Camden, NJ to the late Samuel and Beatrice Stein. A devoted husband for over 53 years to Barbara Stein (née Cwalina), Abe was a loving father to Melissa Raduns (Philip) and proud grandfather to Alexander and Benjamin. Abe served honorably in the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard for 20 years, including a tour in Vietnam. He was immensely proud of his military service and the values it instilled in him. He met the love of his life, Barbara, at a friend's wedding-on his birthday-a story he loved to share. Together, they created countless memories, especially during their travels to Vermont and Ocean City, NJ. He had a long and fulfilling career in education, working as a teacher and guidance counselor in the Washington Township School District for 33 years. He was well known for his calm demeanor, quick wit, and for being the voice behind the school announcement systems. A proud 1969 graduate of Rider College, Abe also held a master's degree in education from Rider. After his retirement, carrying on his love of education, he was a substitute teacher for 12 years in the same school district. He was a passionate supporter of his daughter's dance career and proudly referred to himself as a "ballet dad." He volunteered tirelessly at dance events and backstage, even after Melissa's time on the stage had ended. Whether organizing carpools, supporting friends, or lending a hand, Abe was always quietly present and dependable. He also helped organize community events like the Bike Hike and Recyclo Fair, and in his spare time, he enjoyed collecting stamps and records from the 1950s and 60s and watching Jeopardy regularly. A lifelong sports fan, Abe never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite teams, the Phillies and the Eagles. Despite his quiet and reserved nature, he was known for his sharp sense of humor and thoughtful presence. Abe leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and quiet strength. A private military burial will be held on August 13, 2025, at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Abraham's memory to Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice, https://www.samaritannj.org/giving/donate-now/, The Tender in Mount Laurel, NJ, https://givebutter.com/SUPPORTCAREGIVERS , or the Parkinson's Foundation. https://www.parkinson.org/
