Ada Mae Roe

Ada Mae Roe 79 of Holt, Michigan passed away peacefully in her home on August 12 2025. Ada is a beloved sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Affectionately named GiGi by her great grandchildren she lovingly doted to their every need. Born January 22, 1946 in Lansing Michigan, Ada was an adventurer who loved to travel with her family and had many journeys with her best friend and co conspirator sister Clara Hanna. With Clara in tow the most mundane trip to a fabric store would turn into a day long event filled with laughter. Ada was a kind soul who was readily available for chats and to give advice for some of life's challenges that particular person may be experiencing. With her trademark "Uh-huh" "Right Right yeah" and her infamous "Alrighty Then" and later as she grew weaker it was just a simple eye roll. She was and is much loved!

Greeting her in heaven will be her parents, Marion and Clara Walter; husband, Richard Roe; sister, Roberta Rasmussen; daughter, Karen Lopez; son, Michael Roe and nephew, Greg Hanna.

Missing her here on earth are best friend and sister, Clara (Richard) Hanna; daughter, Elvia (Robert) Trout; sons, Allen (Penny) Walter, Timothy Miller and William (Danielle) Miller; daughters, Sharon Miller and Bobbi Jo Jackson. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services are Tuesday, August 19, 2025, 1:00 pm at Palmer, Bush & Jenson Holt Chapel with visitation starting at 12:00 pm until service time. Interment will be at Maple Ridge Cemetery immediately afterwards.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that a donation be made in Ada's name to the American Cancer Society or to your local animal shelter.
