Sadly, we are grieving the untimely death of Adam Benner. We will certainly miss his bright blue eyes and big smile. We will miss his fun-loving ways and his jokes. We will even miss his argumentative nature; heaven help you if he was right.
Adam loved his children and watching them grow. He loved to do many various outdoor activities as much as he loved sharing his movies and music with them. Adam was very talented in drawing and wood burning. He loved to express himself through his artwork as well as his wardrobe and tattoos. You could find Adam tinkering on anything motorized and building miniature scallop dredges.
Another passion for Adam was commercial fishing, which was his career for 20 years. Adam worked along the Eastern seaboard from South Bristol, Maine all the way to Hampton, Virginia. One of Adam's biggest goals in scalloping was to "out cut" his dad, in which he did come very close.
Adam was predeceased by grandparents Richard and Peggy Fout; Grandfather Jr. Benner; uncles Henry, Edward, Virgil and Danny Benner; Aunts Clarion and Kathy; and Cousin Daniel Benner.
Adam is survived by his parents Lester and Laura Benner; Brother, Josh and (Kammie Benner); Sister Charity and (George Gikas); Children Annabelle Benner and (Adrian Shorey), Ava and Caden Benner; Grandmother Lois Benner; Uncles and Aunts Tommy and Elizabeth Benner, Mark and Sue Fout, Gary and Donna Fout, Gary and Beth Macklin and Kay Butler; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
We are certainly going to miss his heart.
A funeral service for Adam will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 12 noon at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Services. To share a memory or condolence with the Benner family, visit www.hallfuneralhomes.com. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Adam, please visit our Tree Store.
