Adam Lowrey Hatchett

"To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the Heavens." Ecclesiastes 3 "A Time To Be Born".....Adam was born on March 31, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the third child born to Paul and Carolyn Hatchett. "A Time To Die".....Adam departed this life on December 31, 2010 in Elgin, Illinois at Sherman Hospital. "A Time To Plant".....Adam attended Esmond Elementary and Morgan Park High School, where he excelled in Academics, Dramatic Arts and Sports. Adam decided to become a U.S. Marine and was Honorably Discharged after four years of duty in Hawaii. Semper FI! His natural desire to learn and improve himself led him to Illinois State University, Prairie View College and most recently, the Illinois Institute of Culinary Arts, where he received a Bachelor's degree. During this time, he cultivated his passion for gourmet cooking and was preparing to rival the "Great Ones." "A Time To Rend" and "A Time to Sow".....Adam was employed by the United States Postal Service until illness prevented him from continuing his employment. "A Time To Love".....Adam married Mary Reese on May 26, 1990. They were evenly matched by their appreciation of eclectic music, good wine and food, good friends, dreams of far off destinations and their devotion to one another.
