Adam S. Janus

Adam S. Janus, of Middleboro, passed away suddenly on March 9, 2025. He was 41. Adam was raised in Holbrook and has lived in Middleboro for several years. Adam worked for Liberty Mutual for 17 years and was both skilled and successful in his career. He enjoyed solving financial dilemmas, finding "hidden" funds, and mentoring younger staff, supporting them as they developed their own careers. Throughout his life, Adam loved playing soccer, golf, water sports, supporting the Boston sports teams and even ran the Boston Marathon in high school on a whim. He graduated from URI, double majoring in finance and accounting, while still having time to make lifelong friends and embark on countless adventures. He enjoyed many days at the family lake house in Canton, surrounded by the water, family, and friends. As his children's greatest champion, he loved watching them thrive in their extracurricular activities and sports and was always present with a quiet, comforting word, teachable moment, and soccer ball. Adam will be remembered for his quiet strength, love of his family and fierce sense of responsibility. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
Beloved husband of 13 years to Emily (Herrling) Janus of Middleboro. Devoted father of Jolee and Ryan Janus of Middleboro. Cherished son of Edward and Anna (Werbicki) of Holbrook and son-in-law of Mac Herrling of Maine and Ellen Herrling of Belchertown. Loving brother of Mat Janus and his fiancé Brandy of Mississippi, John Janus and his wife Sarah of Sturbridge, Andrew Janus of Holbrook, and brother-in-law of Luke Herrling and his fiancé Brittany of Middleboro. Loving uncle of Madelyn, Nadia, Lydia, and Landon. Adam is also survived by his godchildren Caleb and Ayla, his beloved dogs Max and Rosie, and countless friends and coworkers.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday, March 22nd from 11am-1pm. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 1pm.
