Adam Joseph Mason, age 37, of Whitestown, IN, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis on April 27, 2025. Adam was born in LaPorte, IN on June 26, 1987, to the late Vernon L. Mason and Denise (Kornelik) Mason. He was a 2005 graduate of Zionsville High School, attended Indiana University in Bloomington, IN and was self employed in finance and real estate. He loved fishing, golfing, scuba diving, boating, water sports like wakeboarding / water skiing / tubing / jet skiing, snowmobiling, snow skiing, riding his motorcycle, earning merit badges in boy scouts, playing baseball (he began playing on a team when he was 5 years old and continued until the Zionsville High School varsity baseball team), playing ice hockey on a team in Wisconsin, traveling (especially to Florida to dive in Neptune Memorial Reef to visit his brother, Ryan's, starfish memorial), being an expert with automobiles and their mechanics, cooking, grilling, going to the shooting range with his Cousin Jake, attending family gatherings during the Christmas holidays, caring for his yard (and it was always considered the best in the neighborhood), decorating his home to perfection inside and out for Christmas, learning how to fix things for himself and others with his DIY skills, helping his Uncle Aaron install the barn door, and thoroughly researching products and more. Adam was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Blackhawks, Indianapolis Colts, and auto racing at the IMS. Survivors include his Mother, Denise Mason of Zionsville; Grandmother, Joan Kornelik of Munster, IN; Half-sister, Dr. Wendy Mason Caudill (Dr. Darren Caudill) of Zionsville; Nieces, Ava and Finley Caudill of Zionsville, IN; Godfather and Uncle, Aaron Mason (Ann) of Huntington, IN; Godmother and Aunt, Michelle Kornelik of St. John, IN; Uncles, Kevin Kornelik (Nancy) of Kenosha, WI; Steve Mason (Sharon) of Huntington, IN; Bruce Mason (Bernice) of Gilbert, AZ; Aunt, Connie Jacquay (Rex) of Noblesville, IN; Cousins, Jacob Kornelik, Kristin Kornelik, Terese Kornelik, all of Kenosha, WI; Jade Mason of Huntington, IN; Bryan Jacquay (Crystal) of Noblesville, IN; Tiffany Jacquay of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Taylor Mason (Niki) of Huntington, IN; Mark Mason (Sabrina) of Republic, MO; and Zachary Mason of Wellington, FL. Adam was preceded in death by his Father; his Brother - Ryan Mason; his Cousin - Christopher Mason; his Grandparents, Vernon and Eileen Mason. Memorial services for Adam will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care, Zionsville, IN 46077. Visitation will be from 1PM until time of the memorial service at 4PM.
As his last Gift of Love, Adam has donated his kind, loving heart and organs to those in need so they may continue to spend time with those they love, just as he has loved the time he spent with friends, neighbors, and family members.
