A celebration of the life of Adam McClenny, 54, of Athens will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the Eastern Hills Church of Christ with Pastor Billy Gurley officiating.
Adam left his earthly home in the presence of his loving family on January 28, 2024, in Athens.
James Adam McClenny was born November 1, 1969, in Tyler, Texas, the son of Debra Sue (Dykes) Ask. He was a member of Eastern Hills Church of Christ where he was baptized and loved talking to and spending time with people in general. He was a machinist by trade, learning machining on his own at Furon/Seismic Energy before starting his own very successful business, R & A Machine, where he made parts for the oilfield. He loved playing racquetball and spending time outdoors, listening to music and fishing. He was a loving father, brother and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was predeceased by his son Jordan McClenny and his mother Debra Ask.
He is survived by daughter Caitlin McClenny of San Diego; sisters, Deanne Boswell and husband Justin of Athens, Karol Ann Taylor and husband Aaron of Athens; brothers Duane Pruitt and wife Heather of Glendive, Montana, Joey Ask of Athens; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and host of friends.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Joey Ask, Krystal Rios, Gerald Williams, John Rios, Marcus Sallings and Alex Segura.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
