Adam Privette, born on May 29, 1978, in Columbia, South Carolina, passed away on August 8, 2025, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina. He leaves behind cherished memories as a skilled carpenter and landscaper, whose craftsmanship and dedication to his work were admired by many.
Adam had a passion for sports from a young age, excelling as a talented baseball player and fostering a love for competitive play that touched those around him. His enjoyment of the beach showcased his appreciation for nature's beauty, a passion he carried throughout his life.
He graduated with honors from Coastal Carolina University, a significant achievement that reflected his determination and ability. Throughout his career, Adam's work ethic and integrity stood out, earning him respect within his community. Adam's most precious gift were his beautiful daughters, whom he loved more then words could express.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Jim and Jane Privette, of Hartsville; his beloved daughters, Addy Privette and Evy Privette, both of Murrells Inlet; his brothers, Jacob Privette (Monica) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Matthew Privette (Heather) of Surfside, and Andrew Privette of Hartsville; his sister-in-law, Laura Tyner Privette, Hartsville; his paternal grandmother, Evelyn Privette of Hartsville; and his uncles, Gary Privette (Janice) of Hartsville, Marvin Privette (Cathy) of Florence, and Bobby Privette of Chapin; nephew, Eli Privette, along with numerous cousins who will miss him dearly.
Adam was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Adam and Margaret Smith, and his paternal grandfather, Robert "Bubba" Privette, aunt, Ellie Smith, uncles, Donnie Smith and Frank Smith, whose memories will be forever cherished.
A funeral service honoring Adam's life will be held on August 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church Hartsville, located at 104 E Home Ave, Hartsville, SC 29550. Following the service, burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will follow the committal services at the Church Parlor.
Adam Privette will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his legacy will live on through his family and friends.
