Mr. Robert Ansel “Bobby” Dudley, Jr., 82, passed away on Thursday afternoon, October 9th, 2025, while with his family at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Dudley was born in Hartsville, a son of the late Robert Ansel, Sr. & Mary Hopkins Dudley. Bobby was a true outdoorsman; hunting and fishing were 2 of his favorite hobbies. He retired from the trucking industry after 45+ years of service. Bobby was also a proud American, having served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his children: Gina Dudley, Michael Anthony Dudley, and Andrea Street; grandchildren: McCray Dunster, Cidney (Cherod Johnson) Dunster, India Atkinson, Jessica Bolden, Skylar Avin, Taylor Dudley, Gia Dudley, and Asia Stokes; great-grandchildren: Mary, Maria, Reece, Jace, Jay, Millie, Caden, Jake, Ivy, Alasia, Ariyah, and Airis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Peggy Brand, Jimmy Dudley, Larry Dudley, and Mary Louise Morses. He was also preceded in death by a son, Andy Dudley.
In honoring Mr. Dudley’s request, no services will be held. The family will welcome friends on Saturday, October 11th, 2025, from 12-2 at the home, 1710 Willis Drive, Hartsville.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Darlington County Humane Society at 580 E. Washington St., Hartsville, SC 29550
