Adlene Jones Reed

Funeral services for Missionary Adlene Jones Reed, of Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 11 AM at the Warren Grove Holiness Church at 3653 US 441 South in Rentz. Bishop Harrison Jones will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Hatoff Cemetery.
Born on Sunday, July 25, 1937, in Laurens County, as Adlene Jones, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lonia Mae O'Neal Jones. She attended the Mary Fleming School. She moved to Plainfield, New Jersey, with her husband, Earlie and four children, where she was a member of the Community Church of God under the leadership of the late Reverend Burton C. Cathie, and served as Sunday School Superintendent and as a member of the Adult Choir. Mrs. Reed was employed by the Injectron Corporation in Plainfield, New Jersey.
After moving back to Georgia in 1994, she became a member of the Warren Grove Holiness Church under the leadership of Bishop Harrison Jones, Sr., where she served faithfully as a missionary, Sunday School Superintendent and as an Usher.
Mrs. Reed passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earlie Reed, Sr., son, Earlie (Drema) Reed, Jr., sisters, Mary Parker, Birda Mae King, Myrtis Jones, brothers, Evoltra Lonnie L. Walter, Curtis and Hilton.
She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Gladys (John) Yancy, II, Plainfield, New Jersey, two sons, Robert Reed, Jeffery Reed, both of Dublin, Georgia, grandchildren, John and Stephine Yancey, Cassandra Bass, Nichole (Maurice) Cumming, Cristian Martin, Barbara Bass, and nine great-grandchildren, five brothers, Wille (Betty) Jones of Glenwood, Georgia, Bishop Harrison (Willa Jean) Jones, Sr., of Rentz, Georgia, Ernest Jones, Jr.,,of Dublin, Georgia, James (Margaret) Jones of Stonecrest, Georgia, Henry Jones, Patterson, New Jersey, one sister, Susie Jones King of Patterson, New Jersey., one aunt, Laura Pearl O'Neal Wright of Dublin, Georgia, sister-in-law, Mary Ann Ivery of Dublin, Georgia, brother-in-law, Lucion Robinson of New Brunswick, New Jersey, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
