Adrian "Bub/Bubby" Davis, age 55, of Grove, Oklahoma. Born August 1, 1969 in Gravette, Arkansas to his parents Andrew Davis and Elizabeth Pickup-Davis. Bubb went to be his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 surrounded by family at his home.
Bub grew up in Clouds Creek and attended school at Colcord Public Schools in Colcord, Oklahoma and loved to play baseball and football. He loved spending time with his kids, grandkids and family. He loved watching westerns and fishing. He was very well known for his hobbies, marbles and slowpitch and fastpitch softball. He has quite the collection of jackets, sweatshirts, and t-shirts from the wins he achieved over the years. He was also very competitive in any and all sports.
Bub gave his life to The Lord in November 29, 2013 and was a member of Brush Creek Baptist Church in Jay, Oklahoma. His church family meant a lot to him, and he held them all very close to his heart as they have been some of his biggest supporters through his health journey. That is where he found his spiritual father and mother, pastor Larry Pritchett and Oleta Pritchett. They were both very special to him. He was a great dad that loved his kids and grandkids, and he was the protector of the family.
Bub was with the love of his life Lucinda (Leftie) Sixkiller-Davis for the last 16 years and they married on December 9, 2023. They endured a lot of trials and tribulations over the years, especially the last year, but they always kept faith and trusted the Lord each step of the way even when things were challenging as all this. It strengthened them both in their spiritual walk. If Bubb could tell you anything right now, it would be to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior so that his not goodbye but see you later (Do-na-da-go-hui).
Bub is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charley and Lula Davis, Raymond and Virginia Pickup; and his granddaughter, Rosita Davis.
Bub is survived by his wife Lucinda (Leftie) Davis of the home; children Nevaeh Davis, Callie Tanner and Chase Tanner all of the home, Ashley and Derrick Campos of Kansas, OK, Brittany Davis,Nikkiah Davis, and Kristian Davis of Kansas, OK, Lynzie and Timmy Sell of Stilwell, OK, Adrian and Keeleigh Davis of Inola, OK and Taren and Chad Collins of South Carolina; his parents, Andrew and Elizabeth Nan Davis of Colcord, OK; Siblings, Dawn Rae Davis of Joplin, MO, Andrea Farmer of Siloam Springs, AR, Darrian Davis, Jennifer Golden and Marcus Fisher all of Colcord, OK; 13 grandkids; and a host of aunts, uncles, family and friends.
Bub's Celebration of Life Wake Service will be held on Wednesday, 6:00pm, January 15, 2025 at Lawson's Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346. Followed by his family visitation to greet friends until 8:00pm.
