Adriano F. Mimoso

Adriano F. Mimoso, 80, of New Bedford died Wednesday, July 12, 2023 suddenly at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Maria J. Mimoso.
Born in Linhares, Portugal, the son of the late Manuel and Alzira (Figuerido) Mimoso, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.
Adriano was formerly employed as a construction foreman for Savin Brothers, Inc. for many years until his retirement.
He was a member of the Portuguese American Club of New Bedford.
In his younger days, Adriano enjoyed playing soccer.
He is survived by his wife, Maria; two children, Michael Mimoso and his wife Deborah, and Karen Santos and her husband John; four grandchildren, Kristian Santos, Alyssa Santos, Meredith Bauer and her husband Michael, and Cameron Mimoso; three great-grandchildren, Kyrie DeBarros, Kaiden DeBarros, and Brady Bauer; and his siblings, Elizabeth Ramos and Jose Mimoso.
He was the grandfather of the late Rachel Mimoso.
His Funeral will be held Monday, July 17, 2023 at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10 AM at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, July 16th from 4-7 PM.
