Adrienne B. Majors passed away peacefully at the Heritage Valley Medical Center on January 27, 2023, due to heart disease. She was 84 years old.
Adrienne was born on March 2, 1938, in Portsmouth, VA, to Donald F. and Margaret B. Bartel. Her family later moved to Ellwood City where she graduated from Lincoln High School. It was here that she met the love of her life, Raymond R. Majors, her husband of 41 years. Adrienne went on to graduate from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, as well as her Masters degree from Geneva College.
Adrienne was an English teacher at Riverside Middle School for over 25 years. She was a member of the Bell Memorial Presbyterian Church and a volunteer at the Ellwood City Hospital Auxiliary. Adrienne enjoyed traveling, crocheting, reading and being with her family and friends.
Adrienne is survived and missed by her three children, Beth (Robert) Prunchak of Hudson, OH; Barbara (Glen) Kibler of Chippewa, PA; and Lisa (Matthew) Knight of Ellwood City, PA. She is forever cherished and remembered by her five grandchildren: Matthew (Alexis) Kundick of Enola, PA; Jennifer Kundick of Pittsburgh, PA; Alexander (Alexandra) Prunchak of Bethel Park, PA; Courtney Prunchak of Philadelphia, PA; and Grace-ann Knight of Ellwood City, PA. The funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members present.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver.

My favorite memory was when I started the eighth grade and had her for English. She stated that she was the 'Queen of 215'. She was the greatest teacher. I would have never guessed that come my Junior year in high school I would have her daughter for English.

On the first day of Eighth grade and having her for English she stated "I am the Queen of 215". Loved her class.
