Adrienne Eve Panick (nee Kassel), "Adi", 87, formerly of Lombard, IL; passed away peacefully on February 22, 2023, at home in Chicago's Albany Park neighborhood.
Born and raised in Chicago, Adrienne graduated from Farragut High School. She worked as a travel agent and owned and ran the Rush Street tavern The Rush Up with her husband, while raising four children.
Adrienne was a den mother to her son's Cub Scout troop, where she showcased her abilities as a skilled amateur costume designer. The Panicks were also ardent supporters of the Willowbrook High School Wrestling Team.
Beloved wife of the late Jerry Alan Panick, devoted mother of Mark Jerome (Nan Warshaw) Panick, Adam Daniel (Tiffany) Panick, the late Jason "Jay" Panick, and the late Lisa Eileen Panick Pestka. Birth mother to Bernie.
Very proud grandmother of Paige, Jake, Connor (Meghan), Nikki, Olivia, Chloe, and Kristina. Dear sister of Joan (Herbert) Holm and Bernadette (the late Anthony LaRocca) Hanrahan.
Daughter of the late Josephine E. Kassel (nee Misulis) and Robert Frank Kassel.
Private cremation followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois on what would have been her wedding anniversary.
An appropriate celebration of life is being planned for April 15, 2023 in Chicago. Please check back to this website as further information is made available.
