Agnes Calabrese Ewen Kelly, age 98 minus 2 weeks, went to be with the Lord on September 14, 2024 at her home in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
Raised in the bayou’s of Louisiana as a small child, she moved to Indiana during her childhood where she married Earl James Ewen, they were co-owners of a farm and farm market in Crown Point, Indiana, where she managed the store and raised her 4 children. They later moved to Nashville in support of their son’s music careers.
She worked for many country music stars and managed the Fabric Care Center in Hendersonville for 40+ years until she retired at the YOUNG age of 95. She was a beloved member of the community and a member of the Hendersonville Church of God since 1978.
If you met her she never looked her age, she always was dressed to impress, prim, proper, and she told you about Jesus and her family. She loved the Lord faithfully, she loved her family and she loved to tell stories which were always theatrical and exciting. She spread love, joy, and food to anyone she could. She loved to cook and serve others. She was selfless, compassionate, faithful, loving and never met a stranger. And we can’t forget Facebook, she loved her gospel ministry and to spread the word of the Lord, give life updates, and funny videos. She would stay up until 3 am on Facebook sharing bible verses and funny videos.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rosario Calabrese, and wife, Sarah Papa Calabrese; siblings, Fanny #1, Fanny #2, Dominic, Margaret (Maggie), Josephine, Frank, Mary, Sam and Russell Calabrese; her late husband, Earl James Ewen; son, Alan James Ewen; and grandson, Joshua Lee Ewen
