Agnes M. Vorpahl (nee Boden) age 93 of West Bend died peacefully on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. She was born October 20, 1931 in West Bend to Frank and Margaret (nee Schuh) Boden.
On November 12, 1955 she was united in marriage to William J. Vorpahl at Holy Angels Church in West Bend. He preceded her in death on June 29, 1994.
Agnes was a charter member of St. Frances Cabrini Church in West Bend, where her faith and dedication were a cornerstone of her life. She found great joy in the simple pleasures, especially her trips up north to Crivitz with her family. Agnes enjoyed fishing with Bill, both on the water and the ice.
Family was at the heart of Agnes' world. She treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her face lighting up when she was around them. She was a skilled card player and was a long-time member of numerous card clubs over the years. Agnes also had a creative side, enjoying making crafts and carefully tending to her garden.
Agnes is survived by her 3 children: Kathy Zuba of West Bend, Curt (Marie) Vorpahl of West Bend and Dave (Marsha) Vorpahl of Kewaskum, 4 grandchildren: Tony, Lauren (Paul), Paige (Steve) and Claire (Trey) and 4 great-grandchildren: Zayna, Ezra, Saylor and Myles. She is further survived by her sister Gladys Thelen of West Bend, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Margaret Boden, her husband Bill, her son Steve, her daughter Ann in infancy, her son-in-law Phil Zuba, her sister Irene (Jerry) Kocher, her brother-in-law Tom Thelen and Bill's special cousin Allen (Lila) Stahl.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church with Rev. Kevin Harmon presiding. Burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery. The family will greet visitors on Wednesday, at the church from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Memorials to St. Frances Cabrini parish are appreciated.
