Aida Vega

Aida Vega, age 63, of Erie, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025. She was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico on November 13, 1961, daughter of the late Jose and Virginia Vargas Feliciano.

Aida was the rock and glue to her family and took on many roles. She adopted anyone and everyone. Aida was a firecracker and her personality matched her red hair. She loved dancing and singing. Music was her life, especially bachata dancing. She liked butterflies, unicorns and porcelain dolls. Aida was there for everyone, always had a smile and put others first. Aida was loved by all.

In addition to her parents, Aida was preceded in death by her husband, Luis Velez; and sister, Rosa Feliciano. She is survived by two daughters, Lizbeth Marty (fiancé, Jorge Melendez) and Damaryliz Snodgrass (Michael); one son, Luis Vega (fiancée, Jennifer Miller); seven grandchildren, Alicia, Julliana, Vanessa, Jonathan, Gioni, Zacheneryliz and Angel; two great-granchildren, Calianna and Kyloni; three siblings, Hilton P. Cruz, Jeannette Vargas and Carmen Diaz; her dog, Brownie; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Saturday, April 19th from 11 am until the time of the Funeral Service there at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
