The Celebration of Aidan's Life has been moved to Kanini's Restaurant and Catering in Waynesville NC, Sunday February 01, 2026, 1-3pm
Aidan Michael Patton, 24, left us to be with God on January 25, 2026. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.
Aidan was born on May 15, 2001, in Haywood County, the son of Erin Arendell Patton and Michael David Patton. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Catherine Elizabeth Patton, and his brother, Finn Arendell Patton. He also leaves behind stepparents, Catherine Harlan Patton and Jennifer Leichssenring, and stepsiblings: Morgan Harlan, Zak Harlan, Tristan Leichssenring, Emma Leichssenring and Wesley Leichssenring.
Aidan was a graduate of Tuscola High School, class of 2019. He continued his education at East Tennessee State University, graduating in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Business, with a concentration in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. While at ETSU, he was a brother of the Sigma Phi Epsilon, Tennessee Gamma Chapter.
Aidan loved fishing with his dad and playing video games with his dad, brother, and friends. He cherished his church, First United Methodist in Waynesville, where he attended mission trips alongside his siblings and friends. He loved the lake and the beach. He was a devoted fan of the Washington Capitals and Washington Commanders, attending many hockey games with family. Babies and young children loved Aidan and were drawn to his comforting presence.
Aidan worked with his mom at Kanini’s as a cook, where they shared a joy of cooking for others and experimenting in the kitchen. He deeply loved his cat, Pooh, who was his faithful companion through many changes in life.
Aidan had a wonderful sense of humor, his smile and laughter will be forever missed. He will be remembered as a loyal friend, a loving sibling and a devoted son. This world will miss the person he was and the person he was becoming.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 3;00 p.m. at the Wells Event & Reception Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sarges Animal Rescue Foundation, 256 Industrial Park Drive, Ste B., Waynesville, NC 28786.
