Funeral services celebrating the life of Aiden Chase Stevens, age 9 will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Walnut Hill Baptist Church,10899 Walnut Hill Church Road, Vivian, LA. Officiating the service will be Bro. Gregory Hurst and Bro. Chet Johnson. Interment will follow at Stevens Cemetery in Ida, LA. There will be a time of visitation on Saturday, December 9, 2023 beginning at 12 noon until service time.
Chase was born on December 26, 2013 in Bossier City, LA to Adam Curtis Stevens and Carlie Michelle Bird Thompson and passed away on November 28, 2023 at Ochsner LSU Health Center in Shreveport, LA. He was a member of the Eastside Missionary Baptist Church in Minden, LA and was in the 3rd grade at Haughton Elementary School.
Chase is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Dwight James Bird; maternal great-grandfathers, Dwight Bird and Carl Hurst; paternal great-grandfather, Albert Clyde Stevens, Sr. and Ted Goad.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Carlie Thompson and husband, Marcus, “Daddy Marcus”; father, Adam Stevens; sister, Kynlee Stevens; maternal grandmother, Michelle Bird; maternal great-grandmothers, Shirley Hurst and Betty Bird; paternal grandparents, Albert Clyde “Bubba”, Jr and Pam Stevens; paternal great-grandmothers, Nancy Goad and Lola Stevens Williams; paternal great-great grandmother, Lola Pearl Williams; step-grandparents, James Thompson and Carolyn “Mookie” Lilley. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and a host of friends.
Honoring Chase as pallbearers will be Mason Teer, Henry Teer, Dusty Myers, Matthew Marrs, Jeffrey Hurst and Cody Bird. Honorary pallbearers will be Kynlee Stevens, Dayton Bird, Ann-Michelle Bird, Alex Stevens, Caileigh Stevens, Alba Cate Stevens and Cole Stevens.
The family would like to than the many churches for their support over the last few years.
The family suggest that memorials be made to: Autism Speaks, P.O. Box 37148, Boone, IA 50037-0148 and LMBIS Dwight Bird Memorial Scholarship, 100 Seminary Lane, Minden, LA 71055.
To know Chase was to love Chase. He will be greatly missed.
