Ailise Hoge, 60, of Dawsonville, GA, passed away peacefully from cancer on October 4, 2025.
We play many roles in life. We thrive in some, struggle in others. Ailise Hoge's greatest role was that of a sister. From birth, she looked after, cared for, fussed at, and sparred with her twin sister, Mignon. The love and friendship they shared as siblings were unmatched.
As one of six children, Ailise knew what it meant to be a sister. She lived that role fully-in times of joy like waterskiing on Lake Burton; in times of mischief like being the target of her big brothers Richard and Marcus's horseplay; in times of sorrow like losing her older sister and brother, Barbi and Richard; and in times of excitement with her little brother Chad, her partner in adventure. We loved our sister deeply and are so grateful for having had her in our lives.
Ailise was preceded in death by her father, Richard Hoge Jr.; sister, Barbara Hoge; and brother, Richard Hoge III. She is survived by her mother, Joyce Hoge; sister, Mignon Strohl (Greg); brothers, Marcus Hoge (Janis) and Chad Hoge (Kevin); and nieces and nephew, Kirsten, Jessee, Lyle, Kaitlyn, Clara, Dakota, and Levi.
At Ailise's request, the family will celebrate her life with a small private family gathering.
