Alan "Al" Fredrick Moy, 86, of River Falls, WI, formerly of Waverly, MN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Comforts of Home Assisted Living in River Falls.
Born February 24, 1939, in Winsted, MN, Al was the son of Raymond and Verna "Bub" (Sherman) Moy. He graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1957. On October 5, 1963, Al married Margaret M. Al was the GM of Sentry Fire Protection for more than 43 years, and a proud 50-year member of Sprinkler Fitters Local 669, making countless friends across the industry. Active in his community, Al served for several years on the HL-W school board and was a member of the Waverly Gun Club, where he was instrumental in launching Ladies Night events, securing grants to improve the club, and organizing Friends of the NRA banquets.
In retirement, Al and Marge enjoyed winters in Texas, road trips through the Southwest, and time at their cabin in northern Minnesota, spending time with family and friends.
Al is survived by his daughters, Catherine (Jason) Barthman, Deborah Moy, and Vickey Moy; grandchildren Ruby Johnson, Jack Johnson, and Dylan Barthman; siblings Jim Moy and Linda Buschel; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Carolyn (Dennis) Nieman, Ed (Linda) Pollock, Helen (Rick) Rummelhart, Carol Pollock; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Marge; his father-in-law, Louis Pollock; sister-in-law Dolly Moy; and brothers-in-law Bill Buschel and Bill Pollock.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 22, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waverly, MN. Father Larry Blake will serve as celebrant. Serving the family: Chilson Funeral Home, Winsted 320-485-4447
