With deep love and cherished memories, the family of Alba Martino announces her peaceful passing on November 13, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, NY, on May 22, 1933, Alba lived a full and generous life devoted to her family and community in Kinnelon, NJ.
Beloved wife of the late Anthony Louis Martino. Loving mother of Kenneth Martino of Kinnelon, Marissa Van Vlaanderen and her husband Mark of Kinnelon, Laurie Biunno and her husband Jeffrey of Wayne, and Anthony Martino, II and his wife Ezia of Wayne. Devoted grandmother of Lauren Brennan, Katelyn Johnson, Mark Van Vlaanderen, Emily Biunno, Ariana Martino and Anthony Martino, III. Cherished great-grandmother of four, with one more blessing on the way. Dear daughter of the late Carmelo Luppino and Adelina Luppino. Loving sister of the late Stephen Luppino of Brooklyn, NY
Alba began her professional life as a teacher, a calling that suited her natural patience, warmth, and ability to make others feel seen and supported. Her early years in education reflected her generous spirit and her love for helping others. In 1973, after moving with her family to Kinnelon, Alba began what would become a more than four-decade career in real estate with Coldwell Banker. Over those years, she built a remarkable reputation, not just for her professionalism, but for her kindness, honesty, and genuine care for the families she helped. She approached every client with dedication and sincerity, earning their trust and often forming lasting friendships along the way. Her colleagues admired her grace and steady presence, qualities that made her a beloved member of her community.
Beyond her career, Alba was known for her warm personality, and her ability to bring comfort and calm to any situation. She had a gift for making those around her feel welcomed and appreciated. Alba created a sense of belonging wherever she went. Her compassion and optimism left an imprint that will continue to inspire her friends and family for generations.
In keeping with Alba's personal wishes, there will be no public funeral services. She expressed that she did not want others to gather in sorrow but instead hoped her family and friends would celebrate her life in their own meaningful ways. Her final request was that those who loved her remember her with fondness, holding on to the joy, laughter, and treasured moments they shared, rather than the sadness of her passing.
Alba's legacy is one of love, resilience, and kindness. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
