Albert Cantrell of Hinckley, Ohio, went home to the Lord on May 30, 2024. He was 90 years old. He was born on March 14, 1934, in Paintsville, Kentucky to Edith (nee Castle) and Cecil. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Alice (nee Wagner), of 64 lovely years. Albert and Alice met in Cleveland, OH, and married in Tennessee, raised his family in Hinckley, OH. Survived by daughter Karen (Tim Pickens) of Williamstown, KY, son Michael (Laura) of Brunswick, OH, daughter Angela (Cantrell) of Hinckley, OH and 12 grandkids and 20 great grandkids; brother, Verlin of Brazil, IN, Aunt Burdis (Spradlin) of West Van Lear, KY, Aunt Billy Jo (Cantrell) of Medina, OH and A LOT of nephews and nieces. Albert is preceded in death by his sister Jenny (Blair), sister Neva (Lyons), stepbrothers, Alfred Castle and James Castle, and daughter-in-law, Chrissy (Campbell).
Albert was in the 511th Airborne Infantry Army in 1954-1959, 5 years of service. Albert worked and retired from the Chevrolet Plant in Parma, OH. Albert worked at the plant as a millwright for 35 years. Albert loved watching his Kentucky Wild Cats, Duke and the Cleveland Indians. He was a member of the Southwest Baptist Church of Brunswick, OH. He loved spending time with all his grandkids and great grandkids. He loved going golfing, fishing, hunting, traveling, woodworking with the grandkids and being on the Brunswick Bowling Legion.
Family will receive friends and family from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, OH. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Southwest Baptist Church, 329 North Carpenter Rd., Brunswick, OH. Burial to follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens, 2869 Grafton Rd., Brunswick, OH. Online condolences and memories may be left for the family on Albert's guestbook at www.WaiteFuneralHome.com.
