Albert "James" Koon, passed away on September 24, 2024 in Gilmer, TX. James was born on November 30, 1927 to Thomas Earlton and Angelena Roberson in Tyler, Texas. He was a beloved father and grandfather. James served in the United States Air Force.
James is survived by his two sons, Michael Koon and Clifford James Koon, and one step daughter, Nelli Kuether. He also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora; parents; brother, Ernest Earlton and half sister, Corine Shoemaker.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate James's life at a funeral service on September 30, 2024, at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, TX. The service will begin at 11:00 AM. James will be remembered fondly for the love he shared those close to him.
