Albert Louis Moreno, age 72, passed away Friday morning on March 15, 2024 at Harris Methodist in Fort Worth Texas. He was born in Los Angeles, California on April 12, 1951. He was the son of Albert and Emily Moreno. Al is survived by: his brother Ben Moreno, his sister Carmen Ormond, and his son Matthew Moreno.
Albert grew up working in the family torteria and attended high school at Junipero Serra High School in California before moving to Texas. He attended UCLA and the University of Houston where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Al went on to start his career at a hospital until he eventually moved into software development. He would then go on to enter the field of consulting where he traveled to different countries and accomplished many different projects.
Albert is best known for sharing his many stories, giving his advice, and being a great listener. He always had a generous heart and was always willing to help people out. He had the ability to create friendships everywhere he went and was even able remain close with friends from his high school. Al loved to cook and eat. He used food to connect with friends and family and create many happy memories. Al will forever be cherished for his remarkable knack for attentive listening and his gift for uplifting others. He possessed an extraordinary love for his family, holding each member in the highest esteem and cherishing them deeply. Albert will be forever missed, remembered not only for his profound love for his family and his unwavering kindness, but also for his cherished companion, his dog Toki, who brought him immense joy and companionship throughout the years.
A service to celebrate the life of Albert Louis Moreno will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024. The service will commence at 10:00 AM at Brookside Cypress-Creek Funeral Home, 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston TX 77095, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember him.
A visitation for Albert will be held Monday, March 25, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Cr, 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095. A funeral service will occur Monday, March 25, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095. Following the service, a brunch will be hosted at 11:00 AM, providing an opportunity for loved ones to share memories, offer support, and find solace in each other's company. A committal service will occur Monday, March 25, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. This final farewell will be attended by close family members and friends.
