Manchester – Albert W. Munchbach, 89, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 8, 2024. He was born on October 1, 1934 in Boston, MA and was the son of the late Albert and Sophie (Thoma) Munchbach.
Albert was educated in the Boston school system. He honorably served in the United States Navy from 1954-1958 and was stationed aboard the USS Forrestal. Albert and his beloved wife, Maureen, raised their children in Nashua, NH. He worked at Nashua Corp for many years. Al and Maureen retired to Plant City, Florida where they were active in their community and were members of St. Clement Church. He played golf, was an avid card player and enjoyed travelling. They later returned to Manchester, NH to be closer to family and friends.
Albert grew up on a farm in Boston. Family values, hard work, and the love of music were instilled early on and became a big part of his life. He played several instruments and was a member of the Navy band, American Legion and Townsend band.
In addition to his parents, Albert is predeceased by his two siblings: George and Rose Munchbach.
Albert is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Maureen (O'Brien) Munchbach; his two daughters; Katherine and her husband George Decelle and Diane D'Onfro; his three grandchildren: Kendra and her husband KC Ogbonna, Rachel D'Onfro and Steven D'Onfro; two great grandchildren: Olivia and Elijah Ogbonna; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no services at this time. Roan Family Funeral Home – Still Oaks Chapel of Epsom assisted the family with arrangements.
