Albert Palladino Jr., 67, of Johnston, formerly of North Providence, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on August 6, 2025, in the Lincolnwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
He was the husband of Cheryl (Griffin) Palladino for 42 years.
Born in Port Chester, New York, Albert was the son of the late Albert Palladino Sr. and Margaret (McCrory) Palladino. His life was a testament to his unwavering faith, his love for his family, and his passion for sports.
A proud alumnus of Providence College, Albert earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business, which paved the way for a successful career as a salesman in the field of security technology. His professional life was characterized by his integrity and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
For over three decades, he was a fixture in the North Providence community, where he shared his love of sports as an assistant football coach at St. Raphael Academy and Joseph Case High School. His dedication to mentoring young athletes was unwavering, and his impact on their lives will be remembered for generations to come.
An ardent sports enthusiast, Albert's allegiance to his favorite teams-the New York Yankees, New York Giants, and New York Rangers-was matched only by his passion for Providence College basketball. His enthusiasm was infectious, and game days were always a special occasion in the Palladino household.
Albert was a longtime golfer, and he celebrated two hole-in-ones, achievements that were a source of great pride and joy. Yet, his greatest pleasure came from watching his grandchildren play sports, where he could be found cheering them on from the sidelines, beaming with pride.
Albert's journey through life was marked by his devotion to his family and his community. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl (Griffin) Palladino, of Johnston; his son, Anthony Palladino and wife Tara, of North Providence; his daughter, Angela Palladino and husband Jonathan, of Warwick; and his grandchildren, Mason and Abigail. He also leaves behind his sisters, Barbara Farrar, Margaret Kelly, and Mary Brown, along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 PM in the A. A. Mariani and Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence.
Funeral services will continue on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 8:45 AM from the A. A. Mariani and Son Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in the Our Lady of Grace Church, 4 Lafayette St., Johnston. Burial will continue in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
