Albert Victor Peri

Albert Victor Peri, 61, a resident of Hemlock Farm, Lord's Valley, died peacefully at home on December 31, 2022, with his family by his side.
Albert was born in Paterson, New Jersey, to Rose Mary Peri (nee Oropallo) and the late Emil Peri. Albert graduated from Don Bosco Technical H.S. and earned a B.A from William Paterson University in Political Science. Albert also earned a certificate in HVAC technology from The Lincoln Technical Institute in New Jersey. Prior to his illness, Albert worked as a HVAC technician in Newport, RI and in later years for the Pennsylvania Department of Motor Vehicles.
Albert enjoyed fishing and was an excellent chess player. He enjoyed listening to classical music and reading science fiction. Albert was also an enthusiastic stamp and coin collector. In his youth he enjoyed traveling to Italy, Austria, Germany, France and the Vatican. He also visited many states in the U.S.A.
Albert loved animals and throughout his life had a variety of pets. When he had the time, Albert volunteered at the local animal shelter. For the past eleven years, his faithful Labrador, Rover, was always by his side.
Albert was a member of the Blooming Grove Baptist Church. The church community brought him much spiritual comfort prior to and during his illness. He enjoyed his Bible studies and frequently read the Bible at home.
Albert is survived by his mother, Rose Mary Peri, his sister Deborah Miller and his brother-in-law, Richard Miller.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Teeters' East Chapel, 507 Church St., Hawley, PA, with Rev. Douglas L. Rhine, Retired Pastor of Blooming Grove Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the memorial service from 12 noon until 1 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Humane Society of the donor's choice.
