Hilda Makepeace Peri

Hilda Makepeace Peri, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 30, 2025 at the age of 74. Born December 18, 1950 in Guatemala City, Guatemala to the late Cesar and Martha Makepeace. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, John Michael Peri; her sons, Stephen Peri (Christie) and Justin Peri; her daughters, Gina Raymond (Trey) and Ashley Peri; her grandchildren: Gabrielle Peri, Jackson Peri, and Riley Raymond; and her siblings, Karla Sterner (late, Rick), Alex Makepeace (Lisa), Bobby Makepeace (Melissa), Richard Makepeace (Kristy), and William Makepeace. She will also be dearly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ernie Makepeace and her grandmother, Macaria "Bueli" Morales.

Hilda was an amazing, compassionate woman with an infectious smile. She retired from Iberia Bank where she worked as a teller in Customer Relations. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Kenner. She enjoyed many things, but spending time with her family was most important to her.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie, LA 70001 on Friday, November 7, 2025.
