Albert Eugene Swang (Al, AE, Easy Al), 91, of Yukon, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at home January 10, 2022.
The memorial service will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., at the Yanda and Son Funeral Home Chapel, 1500 W. Vandament Avenue, Yukon, Oklahoma.
Al was born to Swedish immigrants Theodore Swang and his wife Margaret in Dairyland, Wisconsin on August 15, 1930. He left home at an early age and worked his way through high school and college. He earned a B.S. in Biology and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin in Superior, Wisconsin.
Al was married to Kathleen Swang on November 15, 1952 and together they created a family with their five children. They were married for 58 years, before Kathleen's death in 2010.
After four years in the Air Force as a gun instructor, Al worked as an electrical engineer for Western Electric/AT&T for 37 years. He enjoyed doing carpentry, electrical, drywall and plumbing in his free time. He also collected, repaired, and refurbished old telephones as a hobby.
Al was a proud family man whose many talents would take pages to list. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Al is survived by his 5 children; 7 grandchildren; 2 sisters, and numerous nieces.
