Albert Timmreck Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Audubon Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Slidell on Dec. 4, 2024.
Albert Jacob Timmreck Jr., a resident of Lacombe, Louisiana for 35 years, passed away on December 2, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on April 12, 1935, in New Orleans, Louisiana, he lived a full and vibrant life which touched many.
A family man at heart, Albert was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Albert Jacob Timmreck Sr. and Isabella Cecile Timmreck; his devoted wife, Brenda Pichon Timmreck, whom he shared 30 years and countless memories; and his two sisters, Patsy Gallardo and Gay Foto.
Albert is the adored father of Albert Timmreck III (Helen), Mark M. (Francisca), and Michael M. (Kathy); proud grandfather of Albert J. Timmreck IV, Ashley A. Sadorra, Stephen T. Timmreck, Jordan M, and Reece M.; and great-grandfather of Nola, Jonathan, Ian, Joan, Elena, Aisley, George Harley, and Lydia Jane. He is also survived by his two brothers, Michael J. Timmreck and Stephen B. Timmreck, and a host of extended family members and friends, all of whom he loved greatly.
Albert attended Jesuit High School in New Orleans, where he formed lifelong friendships and a foundation of knowledge that would serve him throughout his life. He bravely served in the Louisiana Air National Guard and then embarked on a fulfilling career with Western Electric (AT&T). His work ethic and dedication to his roles were evident to all who knew him, and his contributions to his community and country remained a significant part of his legacy.
Albert, known to his friends and family as a connoisseur collector of the finest junk and collectibles a person could have enjoyed, found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. His passion for collecting stamps and antiques was only surpassed by his love for Louisiana seafood, the great outdoors, and the company of his family and friends.
Albert's impact on the world was as profound as it was gentle. His kindness, generosity, and infectious enthusiasm for life will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a beacon of love and strength, always guiding his family with a compassionate heart.
A celebration of Albert's life with family and close friends will take place sometime next spring.
