Albert Lee Wishneff, age 70, of Davie, Florida, passed away on August 29, 2023. Born December 13, 1952, in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Albert was the beloved son of the late Robert Wishneff. He was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Wagner, and brother-in-law, Joel Wagner. Albert is survived by his loving family, mother Gloria, brother Edward, loving wife Roxann, dedicated children Nicole, Jonathan and Spencer and former wife, Debby, as well as numerous family and friends.
Albert graduated from Northeast High School in Philadelphia and received his B.A. at the University of Miami and his Masters Degree in psychology. He was a dedicated learner who valued the pursuit of knowledge.
Throughout his career, Albert held various positions that showcased his passion for helping others. He served as the Director of Jack Orr Senior Center, where he made a significant impact on the lives of seniors in the community. Additionally, Albert worked as an Administrator for Jackson Health System for three decades. After his retirement, he continued to help others by becoming a Financial Advisor with AIG Retirement Services. His lasting impact was displayed by the large number of coworkers and employees that visited him during his illness.
Outside of his professional life, Albert was an avid sports fan. He passionately supported teams such as the Miami Dolphins, Marlins, Heat, Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, and the U of M Hurricanes. His enthusiasm for sports brought joy to his life. He loved to travel and was an accomplished photographer which was reflected in his many beautiful photographs. He was also a great cook and loved to entertain. He was especially known for his amazing sandwich-making skills.
Albert will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His dedication to his career and his love for life will be remembered fondly. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 12 noon at the Levitt Weinstein Chapel at Beth David Cemetery in
Hollywood, FL. Interment will follow.
A Celebration of Life will follow the service at 2:00 pm at:
