Alexander D Gates (aka: Alex, Al, Gator) 32, died suddenly as a result of injuries sustained in an auto incident on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born January 22, 1992, in Park Ridge, IL.
He was a member of the Class of 2010 of Oswego High School. He had worked at TGI Friday, Walgreens, DRF Solutions, Roadhouse 47, Pinheadz and Hollywood Casino.
He is survived by his parent's Dale A and Cary S (Usher) Gates, brother Andrew Gates, maternal grandmother Shelby Gates, also several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Charles Gates, paternal grandparents David and Mae Usher.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 3:00 PM until a service at 6:30 PM concluding at 7:00 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 Douglas Rd, Oswego, IL. Cremation has taken place per family wishes.
Memorials may be directed to either Little People of America, Inc, 617 Broadway #518, Sonoma, CA 95476 or St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
