To the Henderson family,
My sincerest condolences for the loss and the passing of my friend and brother Alex. My pain and love for Alex began as kids in church. Even now, I can see his smile, feel his love and strength as these words meet this canvas I´m writing on. So many good memories, so many days and Sundays we spent serving the Lord in song, prayer, and ministry. All the trips to Dorney park...we had adventure, we enjoyed the rides, the food, and more importantly we had the love of God with us then and with us now. All the trips we made to other churches, the sharing of communion, and our opportunity as children to lift up our voices to God. Father, I know that your hands are on this family as they mourn. I ask that you provide them comfort, that you will wipe away the tears and replace them with your love, your compassion, and the peace that only you can provide. My brother Alex is gone, his journey is over, and his old life will never pester him again. This brings me joy! For I know in all my heart that my brother is with my God and with Him there is no misery, there is no strife, there is no emotional, mental, or physical pain only eternal peace and joy. To my family, know that although I´m in California, that my heart is broken but, my spirit rejoices knowing that my brother is with our Lord. I love you and pray that my words will bring you comfort, that my prayers will help you to heal, and that my heart will remain connected to you through our Lord. We will all see each other again, on that day when we as children of God are with Him and the good shepherd, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I love you,
Robert Garlington

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. Please take comfort in the words found at 2nd Thessalonians 2:16,17.
