Alexander Vito Ciocchetti, age 23 of Highland Park and Highwood passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Born and raised in Highwood and Highland Park, Alex went to St. James Catholic School and graduated from Highland Park High School, class of 2020. His kind and loving nature led him to most recently working as a caretaker. He loved to be around his younger cousins and looked forward to teaching them to skateboard. He wanted nothing more than to make people laugh, show everyone that they mattered, and spread love wherever he went. He meant the entire world to his mother, Rachel, and his older sisters, Jackie and Stephanie. He loved skateboarding, playing the ukulele, and gaming with his friends. Everyone who ever met Alex commented on what a sweet, kind, and respectful person he was. The impact he left on the lives all of his family and friends is immeasurable, and his memory will be a blessing.
He is survived by his mother, Rachel (Dwayne) Williford, his father, Vince Ciocchetti, his sisters Jackie (Ariel) Hart and Stephanie Ciocchetti; his grandparents Anna Ciocchetti, Philip and Deborah Leahy, and his great-grandmother Stella Waller. He was adored by his loving aunts, uncles, and infinite cousins.
There will not be any immediate services, but a celebration of life will occur sometime in July with more details to come. In lieu of flowers, we invite you to donate to an organization close to your heart in Alex's name.
