Alfonso T. Caudillo

Alfonso T. Caudillo, a cherished father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2023, in Corpus Christi. Born on December 17, 1966, Alfonso lived a life full of love and dedication to his family.
Alfonso is survived by his greatest accomplishments, his children and grandchildren. He was a proud father to Erika Caudillo, Alfonso (Yvette) Caudillo III, Isabela Caudillo, Hernan Caudillo, Griselda Caudillo, and Erica Tavares. Their father's resilience, bravery, and humor are deeply ingrained in them; his legacy will indeed perpetuate through the generations. He was also a cherished grandfather to eleven grandchildren. His five sisters and four brothers will cherish their childhood memories.
Alfonso was preceded in death by his brother, Jose Reyes Caudillo; his mother, Juana Terrones; his sister, Maria De La Luz Caudillo; and his father, Alfonso B. Caudillo.
Alfonso was a prankster at heart, always ready with a joke or a laugh to lighten the spirits of those around him, no matter the circumstances. Alfonso taught us one of life's most precious lessons: find humor in every situation. This simple, yet powerful ethos taught us all to approach life with a spirit of light-heartedness and joy.
Alfonso leaves behind a strong lineage of Alfonsos, and his name will continue to be passed down through the generations. As we remember our father, let us cherish the fond memories we shared with him. His indomitable spirit and contagious laughter will persist in our hearts and shall never be forgotten. Alfonso Caudillo II - a father, a grandfather, a prankster, and a brave soul - will be profoundly missed. His memory will continue to light our lives even during the darkest of times.
Alfonso's family will receive condolences on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM; with a Prayer Service to begin at 7:00 PM that evening. Visitation will continue Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Treviño Funeral Home, from 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM; with a Chapel Service to begin at 11:30 AM. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
