Alfred Fiore Obituary
Alfred S. Fiore, at the age of 90, passed away peacefully at Milton Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Alfred's life was one of dedication, warmth, and enduring love.
Alfred was born in Boston, MA, to Joseph and Stella (Mariani) Fiore on June 30, 1934, and was the youngest of five children. He grew up in Hyde Park, MA, where he graduated from Boston English High School in 1952. He then enlisted into the United States Coast Guard where he served in the Korean War. He went on to attend Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. There, he acquired the knowledge that would define his professional life. Alfred became a respected Registered Pharmacist, serving with distinction at institutions including Massachusetts General Hospital, Milton Hospital, and the Shriners Children's Boston Hospital. His professional contributions were significant, including the development of a Frozen Blood Program at Massachusetts General Hospital during the Vietnam War-an innovation that saved countless lives and underscored his deep sense of civic duty and compassion. Alfred had a passion for helping others and an unwavering commitment to his profession.
Alfred was the beloved husband of Virginia M. (Bertuccio), for over 49 years, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories and an unbreakable bond. He was a loving father to Dr. Joseph A. Fiore of Milton, Maria V. Fiore of Canton, and Michael S. Fiore and his wife Kristen of Wakefield. His role as a family man was paramount, and he instilled values of love, intelligence, and hard work in all his children.
He was the dear brother of the late John Fiore, Adele Tarallo, Elena Previte, and Dino Fiore. Also, a beloved godfather and uncle to a niece and many nephews. Alfred's family was the cornerstone of his life, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will continue to guide them.
Outside of Alfred's professional life, he enjoyed spending his summers in Dennis on Cape Cod, where he tended meticulously to his beautiful hydrangeas and yard, along with watching the Boston Red Sox, and making lasting memories with his family and friends.
Those who knew Alfred would describe him as a good man, loving, and intelligent-a man who approached every aspect of his life with care and thoughtfulness. Whether he was interacting with patients at the hospital, nurturing his flowers, or spending time with his family, Alfred did so with a gentle heart and a sharp mind.
The loss of Alfred S. Fiore is deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy as a caring husband, father, brother, uncle, godfather, friend, and healthcare professional will continue to inspire and resonate with those who were touched by his life.
We celebrate the remarkable life he led and the countless ways in which he made our world a better place. He will be dearly missed, but the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit will forever remain in our hearts.

Dear Ms. Fiore:
Lucy said you had been out for the past week and I asked why. We were sad to hear of the passing of your father. 90yo - a life well lived. May the joy, laughter and love you shared always put a smile on your face. He will forever live in your heart. Fondly, The Carolla Family

To the Fiore Family,
Our dads came from the same stock. Both men served their communities unselfishly. They shared a passion for their profession and generally cared about the people they encountered every day. Their example of love, respect and hard work shaped the core of our lives.
With our deepest sympathy,
The family of Richy & Mary Rose Ferzoco
