Alice taught ESL at Happy Hollow Elementary School in a classroom across the hallway from my classroom. She was a wonderful, caring teacher who loved her students. She was a perfect welcome to the USA for non-English speaking students. We often went to a quick lunch at MCL enjoying school tales! I loved hearing Alice´s stories of foreign travel, especially to Italy. I still have the small Italian Murano glass bird she gave me stilling on my kitchen window sill. Whenever I look at it I think of Alice. David, Elizabeth, and sons , I am so sorry for your loss.
