Alice Elizabeth Liller, 95, of Oakland, passed away on May 23, 2024, at Dennett Road Manor. Born in Norristown, PA, on November 11, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Saul and Doris Parks.
For 20 years, Alice worked as a head start teacher in Tucker County. She was very passionate about volunteering. She volunteered for hospice, for the Nearly New Thrift Store, and enjoyed volunteer singing with her church group at the nursing home. She also loved to write poetry, sew, and play her favorite game, Scrabble.
She is survived by six children, Ashley Liller of Heron, Montana, Calvin Liller of Mount Storm, WV, Connie Auvil and husband Terry of Bradenton, FL, Bruce Liller and wife Bambi of Morgantown, WV, Cathy Neubert and husband John of Denver, CO, and Susan Oliver of Mount Storm, WV; 12 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Charles "June" Liller, and a brother, Richard Parks.
Friends will be received at the C&S Fredlock Funeral, Home P.A., 21 N. 2nd St., Oakland, on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 10 AM to 12 PM. A funeral service will follow at 12 PM with Pastor John Skipper officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
