Alicia Cleotilde Zepeda-Williams, affectionately known by many as Petunia or Tuni, was a beacon of love and resilience whose life journey began on February 15, 1956, in
San Antonio, Texas. Her earthly chapter closed on September 28, 2025, in the same city where she first brought joy into the world. Through her 69 years, Tuni's unwavering spirit and compassionate heart touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Tuni's story is one of boundless devotion and service. For 40 years, she donned her nurse's scrubs and, with a smile that could light up any room, provided care and comfort as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Her commitment to healing extended beyond the physical, touching the hearts of those she cared for and working alongside. Her professional journey was not merely a job but a calling, one that she answered every day with grace and tenacity. Beyond her professional achievements, Tuni's life was a testament to the power of faith and family. As a devout Christian, she embodied the love and teachings of her faith in every aspect of her life. Her marriage to Joseph Williams was a partnership that blossomed over 41 years, rooted in mutual respect and unwavering support. Together, they nurtured a family that grew to include three daughters-Lucinda Martinez( Anthony), Ashley Zepeda (Gregory), and Carmen-all of whom inherited their mother's strength and loving spirits. Her sister Anna, alongside her husband Dewone Weaver, shared a bond with Tuni that was unshakeable, woven from the threads of shared memories and unconditional love. Tuni's legacy also lives on through her nine cherished grandchildren, who will carry forward the lessons of kindness and courage she instilled in them. Music and plants were the melodies and blooms of Tuni's soul, harmonizing with her life's symphony. Her love for family gatherings was legendary, creating a tapestry of memories that will continue to provide comfort and smiles to all who were fortunate enough to be part of her circle. Those who knew Tuni will remember her as the epitome of love, a faith-filled and courageous woman who faced life's challenges, including her battle with cancer, with an unshakeable spirit. Her life was a journey of triumphs, not defined by the destination but by the love and light, she shared along the way. In every note of music that plays, in every plant that reaches for the sun, and in every family gathering that echoes with laughter, Tuni's presence will be felt, for her spirit is indomitable, her influence eternal. Let us celebrate Alicia Cleotilde Zepeda-Williams, not with sorrow but with the joy she would wish for us and let her story inspire us to live with the same courage, love, and faith that she exemplified every day of her remarkable life.
