Allen Ray Williams, 70, passed away peacefully from this life on Monday, September 30, 2024. Allen was so happy Saturday, he was where he wanted to be, in the home of his Aunt, the late Ceola Jackson, in Leesville, LA with his niece right by his side. He was very thankful for the support team he had – the Heart of Hospice and mostly thankful to God for his niece, Rosie. He would call her, Rocky, and Bryson to be right by his side when he needed them. Alton was born to the late Sammy and Thelma Jackson Williams Jones in Shreveport, LA on November 19, 1953. He was raised in St. Maurice, LA where he attended middle school there. Later in years, Allen's mother moved to Leesville following her sister, Ceola, to give her children a better life. Allen attended Vernon High School. After graduation, he joined the US Army and the National Guard Reserve with an honorable discharge. Allen was truly full of life, a very hard worker, and enjoyed visiting his family and friends for the holidays. He enjoyed driving trucks cross country as well. Allen did accept Christ at an early age at Evergreen Baptist Church in St. Maurice, LA. He loved attending church in Leesville and Killen, Texas. Leaving to cherish his memories are his children, Allen R. Williams II, Allen Ray Williams III (former wife of his children Bridgette Gentry-Reginald), Barry Willis, Lawanda M. Willis, Lenorra Fair, Allen Fair, and Aljes Fair; siblings, Author Williams, Michael Williams, Joyce James, Armette Johnson, and Kent Williams (Susie); and aunt, Dorothy Johnson of Leesville. Allen was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Williams; special cousins who were like his brothers that grew up in the same household (Grandma Virgus & Allen Jackson home), Retired Comm-Lawyer James Curry II (Dean), Rocky Price, and Otis McGee; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; a very special friend, Carmen Howard Wright; and his best friend, Richard Marze. A funeral service for Allen will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Jeane's Funeral Service in Leesville. The burial with military honors will follow in Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held at Jeane's on Friday, October 5, 2024, from 5:00 p.m, to 7:00 p.m.
