Allison Jean Skidmore

Allison J. Skidmore, 63, of Duncan Falls, went home to be with the Lord on November 6, 2025, at Genesis Hospital Emergency Room in Zanesville.

Allison was born in Zanesville, Ohio, on February 12, 1962, the daughter of Bernard and Marlene (Riggle) Blackford. She dedicated over 40 years of her career as a secretary with Muskingum Starlight Industries / The Fuse Network.

A faithful member of Philo United Methodist Church, Allison was deeply involved in church activities. She lovingly served as the “head bunny” for the annual Easter Egg sale and coordinated the music for the church’s Bethlehem Walk. Allison had a creative spirit and enjoyed crafting, reading, and most of all, cooking for others—especially for the members of the Philo/Duncan Falls Lions Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Zane) Luckhaupt; her brother, Troy (Amy) Blackford; her sister, Deann (Matt) Tysinger; her nieces and nephews, Emily, Alex, Aaron, and Hope; her great-niece, Sawyer; her great-nephew, Chandler; and the father of her daughter, Robert Skidmore.

Allison is preceded in death by her good friend, and step mom to her daughter, Laura Koppert Skidmore; her aunt, Doloras “Dee” Joseph and an infant nephew, Kyle Blackford.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Allison’s name to the Philo United Methodist Church, PO Box 188, Philo, Ohio 43771.

Calling hours will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Belt officiating.
