Alma Marie Dickerson, 81, of Evansville, formerly of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital.
Alma was born on June 19, 1943, in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late Joseph and Anna Laura (Ferguson) Whitlow. She worked as a licensed practical nurse at the Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green and later as a private caregiver. Alma was a devoted, faithful member of the Eleventh Street Baptist Church in Bowling Green, where she sang in the church choir. She enjoyed playing Bingo but loved her family more than anything.
Surviving Alma are her two sons, Randy (Bridget) Dickerson and Anthony Dickerson; her former husband, friend and father of her children, George Dickerson; sister, Diane Lewis; brother, Donnie Whitlow; grandchildren, Matt (Tori) Dickerson, Bri Dickerson, Mariah Dickerson and Halle Dickerson; great granddaughter, Olivia Dickerson and two more great granddaughters on the way, Gianna and Ellie. Alma is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by two sisters, Joann Huffman and DeLois Whitlow-Henderson and by a brother, Jerry Whitlow.
Funeral services for Alma will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
