William G. Niemeier, 92, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Aperion Care Nursing Home.
Bill was born on April 21, 1933, to the late Linus and Mathilda (Schenk) Niemeier in Evansville, Indiana. He worked for Bristol Myers Squibb for 37 years before retiring in 1994. He was a past member of Mater Dei Friends and Alumni, MeJo Vets, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Aces Booster Club, President of the Mater Dei Class of 1951 and a member of Sacred Heart Church, where he and his wife Dorothy were inducted into the Brute' Society of the Diocese of Evansville in 2000 for his service to the church.
Surviving Bill are, son and his wife, David and Martha Niemeier; daughter and her husband, Anne and Bob Martin, sisters, Mary Straub, Carol Kissinger, Diane Gardner, brother, Tom (Joanie) Niemeier, grandchildren, Michael (Erica) Niemeier, Jake (Olivia) Martin, Jack Martin and great grandchildren, Landon, Carson, Melody, Serenity Niemeier and Levi Martin.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy E. Niemeier, January 19, 2024 and brothers Charlie, Paul and Mike Niemeier.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10: 00 AM on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2701 W. Franklin St., where there will be a rosary recited at 9:40 AM before the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center, 3701 Bellemeade Ave., Evansville, IN. 47714 or to Riley Children's Foundation, 30 S. Meridian Street, Suite 200, Indianapolis, IN. 46204.
