Alton E. "Bud" Lineberry, 90, of Burlington, North Carolina passed away at his residence on Saturday, November 8, 2025. A native of Alamance County, he was born on November 14, 1934 to Robert E. Lineberry and Swannie Bivens Lineberry, both deceased. He was married to the Patsy T. Lineberry, who passed in 2024. He retired from Western Electric and he attended Belmont Baptist Church.

Bud is survived by his sister, Brenda Lineberry Everett and her husband Tony; a special friend, Cheryl Perry and also a special nephew Scottie Lineberry. He is also survived by many other special nieces and nephews. Other than his wife and his parents, Bud was preceded in death by two siblings; a sister, Arnettie L. Black and a brother, Ralph L. Lineberry.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Belmont Baptist Church at 2:00pm with Pastor Nathaniel Hobbs and Pastor Ashley Rainey officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 12:45 – 1:45pm prior to the service. The burial will be held at Linwood Cemetery in Graham following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to the Pat and Bud Lineberry Memorial College Fund of Belmont Baptist Church or AuthoraCare Collective Hospice in Burlington.
