Alvin G. Borr entered into his life on March 14, 1927, he passed away and entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 6, 2025. Alvin was born to Otilee and Rudolph Borr in Eau Claire, Michigan. Alvin was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Dorothy (Zerbe) Borr (July 12, 2019) and his daughter Renee Borr, (July 14, 2018).
Alvin is survived by his children, Rudy (Diane) Borr, Rodney Borr and Rhonda (Tom) Fisher. He has five grandchildren, Brandy (Kirk) Walker, Nichole (Bob) Sain, Amy (Randy) Rowland, Chelsey (Alex) Boehm and Linsey (Graham) Feland. Alvin has seven great-grandchildren.
Alvin was baptized in the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church and was one of the oldest members of Blueroof Church in Saint Joseph, Michigan. Alvin and Dorothy were very involved in their church and enjoyed their senior group and their many activities.
Alvin worked at Whirlpool for over 40 years and lived most of his life in Benton Harbor Michigan. Four years ago he moved to Florida to enjoy his last few years. He lived in a 55+ community, Woodlands at Church Lake. He loved his cute little home, events at the clubhouse and his golf cart. Alvin was loved by many at Woodlands. Alvin Borr was a World War II Veteran and was recently honored in Florida for being the oldest veteran in his community.
Alvin's Memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI., where friends and family are invited to join the family in celebrating Alvin's life. Alvin's final resting place will be at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma, Michigan beside his wife Dorthy and daughter Renee.
